What a terrible, terrible LiveJournal-er I am.

I haven't been updating for ages. I apologise to my friend list and to my communities.

I can excuse myself saying that I've started university in September, and uni fills my like now. It's something new, it's difficult, and I'm trying my best. Let's hope for the better.

I won't delete my account on LJ. One never knows. I've stopped making graphics, but I might post some news from time to time :)

Amarezza, delusione, rassegnazione... Sentimenti che crescono parallelamente al potere dello psiconano. Un parlamento senza Sinistra, un corpo senza un braccio, un cuore senza un ventricolo. Un paese senza speranza.

Adesso i sentimenti prevalgono sulla ragione. Penso che mi laureerò in scadenza di legislatura, dopo altri cinque anni di governo dello psiconano. In un paese chissà come. Andare via, emigrare, prima era un "progetto probabile", ma adesso assume forma e concretezza.

Cosa cambierà? Vedremo. Nell'immediato, nel mio quotidiano, cambierà la persona che sceglierà i temi di italiano e la versione di greco con cui mi confronterò tra un paio di mesi. Cambieranno le persone che riempiranno i titoli dei giornali. Cambieranno le persone che faranno i palinsesti televisivi. E tutto questo è tanto più grande di quanto non sembri...

Le lacrime. Quelle di tristezza aiutano, ne ho recentemente scoperto il piacere. Ma quelle di amarezza bruciano la pelle su cui scorrono.

Forse ne riparlerò, alla vigilia del voto per l'ennesima (mal)riforma del sistema scolastico (o forse chissà, andiamo direttamente verso la privatizzazione), o per la prossima legge vergogna, o dopo un'altra affermazione contro la dignità femminile, o alla prossima legge sulla sanità.

Come si può rispondere? Con la cultura? Suona ridicolo soltanto a dirlo. Con l'amore? Sì, ma che cambia? Con l'impegno politico attivo? Vien voglia di mollare tutto.

Allo studio e al lavoro. E alla lotta. Forse.

Di barzellette su matematici / fisici / ingegneri ne avrò lette diverse centinaia (che ci volete fà, co' tanti ingegneri per casa...), ma questa mi ha fatto rotolare dalle risate per cinque minuti buoni:

Un matematico divenne pazzo e credeva di essere l'operatore differenziale.
I suoi amici lo internarono in un ospedale psichiatrico fino a quando sarebbe guarito.
Egli si aggirava tutto il giorno nell'ospedale terrorizzando gli altri pazienti. Li guardava negli occhi e diceva: "Io ti derivo!"
Un giorno incontrò un nuovo paziente e gli disse "Io ti derivo!", ma l'espressione del paziente non cambiò. Il matematico, sorpreso, raccolse tutte le energie e ripeté "Io ti differenzio!" ma l'altro rimase impassibile.
Il matematico, esasperato urlò: "IO TI DERIVO! IO TI DERIVO!"
A questo punto, l'altro paziente lo guardò con calma e rispose: "Mi puoi differenziare quante volte vuoi: io sono e^x."

Dite che è preoccupante?

Magari qualche volta farà una raccolta di tutte quelle che mi piacciono di più (sì, è una minaccia).

I feel that is necessary to dedicate this post to the problem of energy. Although this problem is sometimes underrated, it's the most relevant in these years: in a couple of decades, it will become extreme. I won't discuss here the debates about alternative energies, it's late, I'm tired and I don't have the necessary knowledge of the issue.
For what I know, controlled nuclear fusion seems to be the only way: to me, solar energy sounds just like a joke.

Anyway, with this post I simply want to "advert" two initiatives, Nerooogle and Mi illumino di meno. I have changed layout and colours of this journal because of the first one. I've never really liked dark colours and I've always used bright ones, but the article under the cut explains hou darker colours require less energy compared to light-whity ones. Under the cuts!
